KMC NEWS
What’s in the Public Eye
As a member of the national Ethnic Minority Business Task Force EMBTF, Kiki is working with colleagues from the Task Force and the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) to put together a cogent statistical business case to encourage policy makers in the public and private sectors to support ethnic minority businesses. Key policy themes of the EMBTF include supplier diversity and procurement, and improving access to business finance.
Recent Research Commissions
In late summer 2007 Kiki completed the collation of women’s enterprise statistics for the South East Development Agency (SEEDA) in order to support their women’s economic inclusion and enterprise policy agenda.
Earlier in 2007 she completed a project with Inclusion (formerly CESI) to review the skills, education and enterprise needs of BME communities for the East of England Development Agency (EEDA).
KMC has also just reported on a study into the business support practices of 6 of the South East England Regional Development Agency’s (SEEDA) innovative Enterprise Gateways, as well as developing the BAME Women’s Enterprise Action Plan for the East Midlands Regional Development Agency(emda).
